Jesus Prayer

Heighten your celebration of Advent or Lent by adding the Jesus Prayer to your mealtime or bedtime prayers with your children.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
It's a prayer that is meant to be repeated several times. For younger kids, add some actions:
Lord Jesus Christ: arms out with palms up
Son of God: raise arms up with palms up
Have mercy: palms together as in prayer
On me: cross arms on your chest
A sinner: hit fists together to symbolize the cross’s nails
